Montanya Distillers Rum Tasting Event - Grand Junction

We're excited to wrap up our 2024 tasting series with a brand we've been eager to share since 2022: Montanya Distillers from Crested Butte, CO!

If you're not familiar with Montanya, they create exceptional American Rum using sugarcane sourced from a coop of family farmers in Louisiana. Their rums are distilled using traditional methods on an alembic copper pot still, with absolutely no extra sugar or additives. Each rum is aged in ex-bourbon barrels from local Colorado whiskey brands, making them a perfect choice for whiskey enthusiasts.

We’ll be joined by Megan Campbell, Owner & Head Distiller, and Renèe Newton, Owner & Tasting Room & Cocktail Program Mistress, who will share the fascinating history of Montanya and the craftsmanship behind their rums. As a special treat, their Oro Rum will be paired with a delicious nut-free chocolate made using the same rum.

Event Details:

• Doors Open: 6:15 PM
• Location: Private event space across the courtyard from SoCo Social's cocktail bar (look for the Western Slope Whiskey Club banner)
• Parking: Available at SoCo Social or by the Convention Center
• Food: A variety of charcuterie and snacks will be available to eat during the event
• Tickets: $39 (includes food and the chocolate)
